Tape Storage Cabinets.

The Tringmain Security range of lockable storage cabinets are designed to assist in compliance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and Police and Home Office recommendations.

All cabinets are supplied complete with transparent plastic library cases that enable the cassettes to be stacked vertically without weight bearing on the cassette cases. Tapes should never be vertically stacked in cardboard or plastic slip cases.

• Designed specifically to provide 31 day archiving of VHS/SVHS cassettes in the favoured gravity fed format, this unit ensures automatic rotation of tape stock. A lock in the centre of each door enables access to remove and replace cassettes from the 6 columns during normal daily routines. Two single leaf doors, locked with radial cam locks allow the key holder access to remove tapes from within the cabinet. A spring loaded finger pull at the base of each 31 tape module facilitates the removal of individual cassettes approximately half way. Upon its release the finger pull returns to the parked position and the library case can be easily grasped and fully withdrawn by hand. As with all Tringmain storage cabinets the cassettes are contained within plastic library cases. Tapes stored in this manner are unaffected by the weight of other cassettes in the stack, and will therefore suffer no adverse affect when compared with tapes stacked on end in shelving systems. The cabinet when fully loaded weighs 100kg and must be wall mounted. If the structural strength of the proposed wall is insufficient to take the full load, a floor standing plinth must be used in conjunction with wall fixings to the cabinet.
