The
Wire-Free system is made up from
two parts.
Detectors.
Detectors for the system are based
upon the successful 4010 & 3020
detectors. These detectors while
still offering the coverage patterns
of the existing units have been
modified so that their current
consumption is now an ultra-low
15mA. This makes these sensors
ideal for use on battery-powered
systems.
The sensors are housed in the
same all metal housing used as
standard across the Redwall range
of sensors and alignment can be
carried out using the LRP 1020
walk test device.
Radio
links.
Cable from the detector to the
dome or controller has been replaced
by a radio signal. The batteries
in the transmitter housing contain
enough energy to power a detector
and the transmitter for up to
three years, making wire-free
a real alternative to existing
hardwire techniques. The alarm
transmissions are sent to a receiver
up to 200m*
away. A single receiver can handle
alarms from up to four transmitters
and special frequency models are
available for larger sites.
Features including self-test and
alarm lockout are standard on
the transmitters and receivers
and both units are housed inside
IP66 weatherproof housings. The
radio links are also suitable
for signalling alarms from any
alarm device providing an alarm
closure.
