CONCEPT.
The Redwatch
range of camera / detectors combine quality
external long range detectors with a high
performance video camera module to provide
the ideal package where alarm activations
need to be verified by a video image. Whether
your application is for video transmission
systems, alarm inputs to multiplexers or to
activate video recording equipment, Redwatch provides the reliable & cost effective solution.
OPERATION.
The detector monitors
the changes in far infrared levels in the
sensor's field of view & generates an
alarm output when these changes correspond
to the infrared signal created by an intruder.
The detectors are single ended devices &
do not require a transmitter to be positioned
at the far end of the area to be protected.
The detector's electronic processors use dual
threshold techniques with the wide angle version
incorporating tri-channel processing from
the three dual element pyroelectric
sensors.
APPLICATIONS.
The Redwatch
can perform the sensing & verification
duties in a host of external areas where items
of value are stored or where access is restricted.
As a combined product, Redwatch
presents a low profile & is able to be
utilized in areas where a separate camera
& detector may be unacceptable.
INSTALLATION.
The Redwatch
is simple to install as the detector &
camera are powered from the same 12VDC input.
Total consumption is just 125mA. The on-board
camera ensures that the fields of view of
both the detector & camera are shared
& alignment of the detector only is necessary.
This is quickly & easily achieved with
the LRP 1020 walktester.
The swivel mounted head allows the detector
to be wall or pillar mounted. The on-board
camera provides 380TV line resolution &
can operate in light levels as low as 1.3
lux. Additional
lighting can be operated by the detector when
connected to an LRP 101 Interswitch.
